SP Creative Crafts was developed from a love of crafts, creating and sharing.
Many of Crafts have been learnt from my Mother, which is why both our initials are in the business name “SP”
Bobbin Lace by SP Creative Craft uses the traditional techniques with modern threads to produce individually handcrafted items for Individuals and their Homes
Bobbin lace is a traditional textile made by braiding and twisting lengths of thread, which are wound on bobbins and worked on a pillow with pins
I got introduced to Bobbin Lace just after my seventh Birthday, and soon got involved in the Nottingham Bobbin lace Society – Young Lace makers and Calverton Young Lace makers; which involved taking part in the English Lace School John Bull Trophy where the Calverton Young Lace makers won the Poole Trophy. The entry was a banner to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the invention of the stocking frame machine, by Rev William Lee of Calverton.
In addition to Bobbin Lace I have a love of Mix Media Techniques and Paper Crafts, also most textiles.
In additional to making items here in the SP Creative Crafts Esty shop I also do variety of workshops, taster sessions and talks on variety of crafts and techniques.
