    Getting started with Bobbin Lace

I have had the pleasure of introducing or re-introduction Bobbin Lace at Nottinghamshire Inspire Learning at West Bridgford Library. The class were introduced to the rich heritage of the lace and the links to Nottingham Industry Of Lace.

The emphasis of the class was learning and getting grip of the traditional Bobbin Lace Tools and the two stitches.

Some of the class have continue in one way or another- here are some of the fantastic work they have achieved.

    Spring Notes

Well spring sunshine is shining today; isn’t it lovely 😊

With several spring fairs coming up including Nottingham Makers Market at the Golden Fleece and Spring Festival at Hilltop (Eastwood – 23rd March) decided to make some note books great for gifts and making new plans.

I have used my Indian Printing Block to decorate these lovely books – A5 and A6

The Blocks are all hand craved in Jaipur, providing work for the community and keeping the heritage skills alive.

These are available from me at my Spring Fairs or contact me directly.
